Lydia Illge
M.S. Business Administration and M.S. Economics
Studied Economics (Ecological Economics) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, USA) and Business Administration at Rostock University, Germany. Practical working experience in managing regional economic development projects (Economic Development Corporation Güstrow, Germany).
Since 2007, Lydia Illge works at IZT in further developing the ‘sustainable value’ method and modifying it related to specific industries. From 2001 to 2007, she did research at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) in the fields of life-cycle management, Integrated Product Policy, and on economic approaches to sustainable development. She also developed an indicator system-based method for assessing the contribution of an industrial sector towards sustainability regional development (Ph.D. project).
Her research interests include sustainable production and consumption, sustainability indicators, and methods for assessing sustainability performance.
