Wie soll die Zukunft werden? Fünf Zukunftswerkstätten für den Deutschen Forschungsdialog "Futur"
The report contains the documentation of the five future workshops which were performed by the IZT within the framework of the German Research Dialogue "Futur" during the last quarter of 2001.
The general aim of these workshops consisted in supporting the work of the so called Futur "focus groups". More specifically, it was targeted at developing additional normative future visions for the Futur "lead visions" and for the construction of scenarios within these. For this reason issues had to be addressed which had been taken up but not gone more deeply into by the focus groups. Moreover, linkages between the issues of the focus groups were to be established. On a more general level, the future workshops strengthened the orientation of the whole Futur process at societal demands.
Due to their specific tasks the methodology of the future workshops was tailored to the needs of the Futur process: The last phase, the "realization phase" was abridged and the results of the workshops were fed back into the focus groups.
A short over-all interpretation of the five workshops is completing the report.
