Telearbeit, Teledienstleistungen und Teleservicecenter als Chancen für die aktive Arbeitsmarktpolitik in Brandenburg. Abschlußbericht der Begleitforschung zu 16 ausgewählten Telearbeits- und Teledienstleistungsprojekten im Land Brandenburg

The report shows the results of the joint accompanying study of 16 projects within the fields of telecooperation, telework and teleservices in the German state of Brandenburg. Principal was the Brandenburg Department of Labour and Social Affairs in 1998 and 1999. The projects were ESF funded qualification and business start-up projects. Their common goal was to create new and innovative jobs or to secure existing ones in the region. The report includes results of the overall project evaluation, the assessment of the handling of the ESF-program and the estimation of the scientific and advisory accompanying study itself. Furthermore, detailed descriptions of the 16 project designs as well as the documentation of a specific futures workshop "Future of Teleservices in Brandenburg" are presented. The projects are evaluated, for instance, according to the extent of objectives met regarding qualification, business start-ups and job creation. The role of project or enterprise overarching cooperations and the used telecooperation tools are examined. Pragmatic and political recommendations for action are provided.
