About

  • Frank Müller has been working at IZT since 2009. His work covers various topics related to the integration of sustainability questions into managerial and economic practice. Frank’s main areas of interest include measuring and managing corporate sustainability performance, bioeconomy and the private sector’s role in climate change mitigation, inter-organisational collaboration, international cooperation, and education.
  • From 2013 to 2017, Frank researched upon inter-organizational collaboration towards reducing GHG-emissions in regional clusters of the forest-based sector, financed through the EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie funding scheme ‘careers in sustainability excellence’. In 2011, he spent several months as visiting researcher at Kedge Business School, Marseille.
  • Prior to joining IZT, Frank worked in the Indonesian-German environmental program (German Technical Cooperation GTZ) in Semarang, Indonesia. He coordinated the regional (East and Central Java) team activities and provided technical input on stakeholder dialogues, capacity building, cleaner production, organisational development, and sustainable industrial area development.
  • Frank holds a master’s degree in Sustainability Management (Leuphana University Lüneburg) and a Diploma in business administration (University of Applied Sciences Brandenburg). He also spent one semester abroad at Udayana University, Indonesia, and holds a professional training degree in wholesale, export and import.
  • In addition to his work at IZT, Frank also cooperates with the Centre for Partnerships for Development (Centro de Alianzas para el Desarrollo – globalCAD).
