Brief description of the project:
In the EmPowerPlan project (https://www.izt.de/projekte/empowerplan/), the IZT is responsible for the socio-scientific monitoring and transdisciplinary application of an interactive web app for collaborative planning of energy systems at regional level. The aim is to use a digital communication tool, together with the regional planners responsible for land use planning for the expansion of renewable energies, to reduce regional conflicts and acceptance barriers. The web app is intended to visualise national and regional expansion targets for renewable energies and to facilitate discussions on regionally negotiated land use planning against the backdrop of overarching expansion targets of the energy transition. IZT's monitoring of the participation process is examining the effectiveness of the web app and testing its transferability to other regions.
Your tasks:
- Qualitative and quantitative literature and document analysis
- Support in the implementation, evaluation and documentation of expert discussions and workshops (preparation of questionnaires, evaluation, interviews)
- Establish a contact database on planning stakeholders and support regular communication with them via newsletters etc.
- Creation of graphics and collaboration on scientific texts, presentations, posters and other communication materials
What we expect:
- Completed bachelor's degree, preferably in the field of environment and sustainability, renewable energies or industrial engineering or comparable courses of study
- Independent work, quick comprehension and interest in scientific work
- Confident handling of the applications of the MS Office package (especially Excel) or comparable programmes and with literature and internet research (citavi, search engine queries).
- Knowledge of and interest in databases, open source and data (R, models, QGIS) as well as programming (phyton, html) are an advantage.
