Steffen Bauer joined the IZT in May 2019 and has been working as a research assistant in the research field of digitalisation since June 2020.
Previously, he worked in the team of the Kulturstiftung Schloss Britz in exhibition conception. Since 2013, he has been involved as a mentor in the Fibonacci programme for highly talented pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, which is funded by the Berlin Senate.
He studied philosophy, logic and philosophy of science in Leipzig, Munich and in Amsterdam at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC). The focus was on topics from cognitive science and artificial intelligence research. He completed his studies in a reform programme at LMU Munich with the research degree Magister Philosophiae (M.Phil.).
He has received scholarships from the DAAD, the German National Academic Foundation and the Hölderlin Programme of the A. Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation.
