Evaluation of Federal German Energy Research Funding in Industry
The project evaluated the BMWi project funding in the 5th Energy Research Programme in the Department of “Energy efficiency in industry, trade, commerce and services” (IGHD) in respect of three dimensions, "target performance", "impact" and "efficiency".
The methodological approach was based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods:
in-depth data analysis and inventory
written survey of all projects on a modular, semi-standardized questionnaire
in-depth qualitative analysis of key projects (case studies) including telephone interviews and group discussions and, if required on-site interviews with project managers
Methods and tools were tailored to each specific question and tested before use.
