Modelling the Greenhouse Gas Effects of Resource Politics

In the project a systemic model will be developed to assess and to make visible the impacts of resource efficiency measures on greenhouse gas emissions. The complex interdependencies between resource efficiency and climate politics will be analyzed under special consideration of technological developments and trends. The systemic-dynamic model supports the identification of synergies and ambivalences of resource and climate politics considering future developments.

Working package of IZT

IZT identifies and prioritizes technological trends of high significance for the development of resource consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Based on desk top research, surveys, interviews and expert workshops the technological trends will be further qualified, integrated into the model and thus quantified.
