New electronic media and addictive behavior

The IZT conducted a research project on the topic „new electronic media and addictive behavior“. The subject „media addiction“ is highly topical, with great significance both for the individual and for the policy. Basic leading questions of this TA study were: Which risks and strains can be reduced with regard to specific prevention strategies? What resources can be strengthened in terms of specific addiction prevention? What is the political relevance arising from the findings? In May 2015, an explorative online survey was carried out of the key stakeholders in the topic (www.stakeholderpanel.de). The project results were presented and discussed in a public event of the Deutscher Bundestag.
