Implementation concept for the establishment of a repair quality community in Berlin
Resources, economies and resilience
The Senate and the Chamber of Crafts intend to establish a repair network in Berlin. To this end, the IZT developed an implementation concept.
Part of the "Zero Waste" strategy of the Land of Berlin is the initiative to build up and permanently establish a network of repair businesses with assured and fixed quality criteria. On the one hand, this is intended to strengthen the demand for repair services and, on the other hand, to contribute to securing the livelihood of the crafts sector. The IZT developed an implementation concept in which the individual necessary steps were specified. This included clarifying the tasks of the network, the organisational structures, the technical implementation, the costs incurred and the financing options. The basis of the concept was a business plan, which was used to get an overview of key factors such as partners, activities, customer relations, resources for a successful implementation. In order to be able to make statements on the environmental impacts, the potential resource and CO2 savings were also estimated.
