By train
From Berlin-Wannsee station (0:04), take the S 1 (direction Oranienburg/Frohnau) to Schlachtensee S-Bahn station after two stops.
From Berlin-Südkreuz station (0:22), take the S-Bahn line S 46 (ring towards Westkreuz) one stop to Schöneberg S-Bahn station. There you change to the S-Bahn line S 1 (direction Wannsee) and continue to Schlachtensee.
From Berlin main station (0:30) take the S-Bahn line S 7 (direction Wannsee/Potsdam Hbf) to Nikolassee S-Bahn station, change platforms here and change to the S-Bahn line S 1 (direction Frohnau/Oranienburg), getting off already after one stop in Schlachtensee.
OR From the main station, take a regional express train on the RE 1 (direction Magdeburg/Brandenburg) or RE 7 (direction Dessau) lines to Berlin-Wannsee station, change platforms here, change to the S-Bahn line S 1 (direction Oranienburg/Frohnau), get off after two stops in Schlachtensee.
From Gesundbrunnen station (0:38), take the S-Bahn line S 1 to Schlachtensee S-Bahn station (direction Wannsee/Potsdam).
By plane
From Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (SXF/ 0:53 hrs. pure travel time), first walk 7 min. to Schönefeld S-Bahn station, then take S-Bahn line S 45 to Schöneberg S-Bahn station. There you change to the S-Bahn line S 1 (Ring direction Wannsee/Potsdam) and travel to the S-Bahn station Schlachtensee.
On foot - from Schlachtensee S-Bahn station
The IZT is within walking distance of Berlin's Schlachtensee S-Bahn station (line S 1). The walk through the green villa district takes about ten minutes. Seen from the station, the "shopping mile" Breisgauer Straße begins diagonally to the left. Walk along this street and turn right into the second cross street. Voilà: You are already in Schopenhauerstraße. Villa No. 26 is home to the IZT.
By bus (line 112)
Bus line 112 connects the IZT with the Nikolassee S-Bahn station (journey time 00:04) or with Marienfelde (terminus: Nahmitzer Damm) every 20 minutes. The bus stop of line 112 Schopenhauerstraße is only about 5 minutes' walk from the IZT.
By car
You can reach the IZT via the A 115 (Avus), motorway exit "Schlachtensee". From the direction of Berlin city centre turn left, from Potsdam turn right into "Spanische Allee". Follow the road for about one kilometre until you reach the Schopenhauerstraße intersection and turn left. After about 200 m you will reach the IZT.
