Feasibility study on the establishment of a repair quality community in Berlin
The project conducted a feasibility study on the establishment and operation of a repair network in Berlin's craft sector.
The state of Berlin wants to reduce waste streams and strengthen the repair and reuse of products. This "zero waste" strategy also includes the initiative to build up and permanently establish a network of repair businesses with assured and fixed quality criteria. In this way, the project aimed to strengthen the demand for repair services on the one hand, and to contribute to securing the livelihood of the crafts sector on the other. The IZT investigated the conditions for the implementation of such a network, the requirements on the part of customers and businesses, as well as success factors and challenges. The aim of the feasibility study was to derive recommendations and options for action for the establishment of a repair quality community.
