How could deficits in a rural region be remedied with the help of selected artificial intelligence (AI) systems? In this project, students from the vocational schools in Uelzen generated solutions and recommendations for action. To this end, the young target group was first asked about the perceived deficits of their region.

The survey results formed the basis of workshops in which the students acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in dealing with selected AI systems. Finally, the students creatively worked out how AI technologies can improve the living conditions of their rural communities.

The recommendations for action derived from these results were presented to local decision-makers and are intended to show ways of sustainable development in the region.
